It’s Only Tuesday…

But it’s chest, triceps and Abs day!

Admittedly, I had to drag myself out of bed to go to the gym. After cheer training last night, I expected to feel sore through and through, but surprisingly, not too bad today.

Today’s workout is as follows…

 

Duration: 55 mins

Resistance: 6-12 heavy-medium

3 sets unless otherwise stated

Warm up (4 sets- 1 light and the rest medium-heavy)

Machine chest press

Superset 1

Dumbbell bench press

Barbell close-grip bench press

Superset 2 

Pectoral machine

Dips

Superset 3

Dumbbell tricep extension

Weight plate skull crushers

Megaset 1 (5 sets)

Hanging tuck ups (15 reps)

Hollow body holds- HH (10 secs)

Dish tucks (5 reps)

HH

V-ups (5 reps)

HH

Reverse crunch

HH

Alternate elbow to knee

 

At the last set, hollow body holds to fatigue.

    Thanks for sharing how you workout. I’m really trying to do more lifting but I feel so intimidated going to the gym now. I’ve been trying more “at home” workouts. I will definitely be following all your workouts.

      Hi! Thanks for commenting. I know how you feel, we’ve all been there (including the men!) I found it helpful having a gym buddy who had more experience and was comfortable at the gym. Alternatively, contact a PT and arrange for an orientation/ tour- they should also show you how the equipment work, join a circuit class if they have one on offer or have a personal training session. There are also heaps of resources on the internet that can give you some fitspiration!!
