Green Glow: Smoothie Time

No, I do not mean Green Lantern- however  if we can get a little bit of Ryan Reynolds…why not!

Anyway, I’ve always been in awe of those with healthy, glowing and radiating skin. It’s not the fact that someone has blemish free skin, it’s how they carry themselves; their energy, freedom and confidence in themselves makes them glow from the inside.

However having a little help from Mother Nature can’t hurt. When it comes to nourishment hydrating and nutrient-sensed foods are your besties!

Yields: 600ml

Things you’ll need:

  • Blender
  • Chopping board and knife
  • Hands for measuring
  • Eyes for eye-balling

Ingredients

  • 2 handfuls of Spinach
  • 1 Kiwifruit, sliced
  • 0.5 Granny Smith Apple, sliced
  • Juice of 0.25 Lemon (an extra boost of Vitamin C can’t hurt!)
  • 250-350ml Water

Steps:

  • Combine Water and Spinach in the blender and blend till smooth
  • Add the rest if the ingredients and blitz away
  • Enjoy!
